# How to install versions of the game contained inside this pack
This small guide will show you how you can play any version of Gang Beasts I provided in this megapack.

>NOTE: For the pre-alpha versions of Gang Beasts, you do not need to launch them through Steam. Running the .exe will work fine.

### Step 1.
- Download the pack by clicking [here (Google Drive)](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QiYHe_GduZEpBOOXAQPfxXacha_iyCLY/view?usp=sharing), or [here (direct link from Beefcore, slower download)](https://beefcore.loca.lt/Gang%20Beasts%20Version%20Archive%20Megapack/?zip) It will take some time, due to the large file size.
Once downloaded, extract `Gang Beasts Version Archive Megapack.zip` to any directory you like (such as the Desktop)
  - Or, if you just want to download a specific version, you can enter the [Versions](https://beefcore.loca.lt/Gang%20Beasts%20Version%20Archive%20Megapack/Versions/) folder and download the version you want there by clicking on the `zip` link just before the name.

### Step 2. 
To prevent the loss of the original game files (and mods), create a folder named `Gang Beasts Backup` (or whatever you want to call it) somewhere on your computer (make sure you remember its location). Then, copy all the contents inside `C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Gang Beasts` into that backup folder.

### Step 3. 
Inside the `Gang Beasts Version Archive Megapack` folder, there is a folder called `Versions`. Go inside that folder, then go inside the folder of the version you want to play. Copy all the contents of said folder over to `C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Gang Beasts`.

### Step 4.
Now, press play in Steam. You are now playing an older version of Gang Beasts!

### Step 5. 
To switch versions, simply delete everything in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Gang Beasts" then repeat step 3.

**To restore your original backup of Gang Beasts, navigate to the directory you copied all the contents of your original Gang Beasts files to, and move them back to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Gang Beasts"**
